Vineyard Missions

Lakes Area Vineyard Church partners with two local mission families from our home church to serve the needs of the Angola community. The type of work we do will vary based on what these mission teams have seen as needs among the people. We love using the specific needs and gifts given to us by God to share the gospel with others! Whether it's arts & crafts, painting a mural on a city wall, prayer, medical, or whatever God has gifted you with, we want you to partner with us on any of our Vineyard Mission Teams!

The De Souza Family

The De Souzas and their four children are currently living in the city of Angola, Africa! They practice medicine at the local hospital where they often are able to speak about Jesus to outpatients after treatment of significant illnesses. They also operate the local church which regulates 150 children each week!

Jesse & Eli Logan

Jesse and Eli Logan plan to move to Guatemala, City in the fall of 2024 to serve widows and children with One Challenge, a non-denominational, global sending organization. They partner with One Challenge, a mission agency committed to equipping, assisting, sending, and partnering with the global church, local individuals, and communities as they seek to spread and live out the gospel in their own culture and beyond.

If you would like to help donate to the Logan’s and their mission please send a check made out to One Challenge with the Logan’s fund # 110390 in the memo on the check .

The Trainer Family

A UNIQUE CONNECTION. Stephen Trainer and his family moved to MN, and Stephen joined our staff here at LAVC as our Discipleship and Hospitality pastor in the spring of 2021. While on staff here, Stephen and his family made many great connections with our church members and members of the city. The Lord has called the Trainer family back to Brooklyn, NY to restart their gospel ministry, Graffiti Fellowship, early in 2023. As a church family, we will continue to support the Trainer family through prayer, fellowship, and finances. We know they are impacting the Kingdom and bringing the gospel to many underserved and underreached in NY.

A MINISTRY CALLED GRAFFITI - Why “Graffiti” in the names of our two organizations? We are part of a network of churches and ministry centers that began in New York City in 1975. At that time, people were continually tagging graffiti on the building of that first ministry center, and so people began calling it the “Graffiti Church.” Graffiti churches and ministry centers are each independent and autonomous but have a similar heartbeat to see lives changed in communities of need. When we started the work that would become Graffiti Fellowship, we wanted to include the Graffiti name that tells such a beautiful story and has such a powerful legacy!

Vineyard Outreach

One of the best (and most fun!) ways to let people see the gospel is to show them God’s love with no strings attached through intentional acts of kindness. Whether you are naturally outgoing or an introvert, love sharing your faith, or have never tried, kindness outreach has something for all types and everyone gets to play! In addition to being a lot of fun, kindness outreach will give you practical tools for sharing your faith in your everyday life, and is a great way to get the entire family involved in outreach!

  • Give Hope to Children in Poverty

Lakes Area Vineyard hosts and sponsors a sister site in Haiti!

Poverty robs children of their health, education, and hope for the future. When you sponsor a child, you empower their local church, which understands their individual challenges, to walk alongside them — releasing them from poverty in Jesus' name.
